The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better American history education.
The Davey Jackson Chapter, NSDAR, welcomes new members from all walks of life. Any woman is eligible for membership in the DAR who is no less than 18 years of age and can prove lineal, blood descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence during the Revolutionary War years. A Revolutionary War patriot may be someone who served in the American military or who gave their time, resources or services in the fight for independence.
Over two hundred years ago, American patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of DAR, through participation in the society’s various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.
To obtain more information about becoming a DAR member and to find resources to help you in establishing your lineage, you may visit the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution website. Our Davey Jackson DAR Chapter registrar and members are also available to assist you in the research and membership process. Please contact our chapter registrar for more information.
